ABOUT ME

IMG_3808JT.jpg

I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. I attended Oakbrook Preparatory School in Spartanburg for 12 years, graduating in 2014 as the class valedictorian. I continued my education at Clemson University, earning my Bachelor's of Science degree in Bioengineering in May 2018. While an undergraduate student, I conducted research in the Laboratory of Orthopedic Design and Engineering under Dr. John DesJardins for two and a half years. I worked on two projects and earned departmental honors for my work. I earned my Master's of Science degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University in August 2019 with a thesis focusing on the elution of vancomycin from a novel infection-resistant implant coating.

I currently live in Spartanburg, SC, with my Yorkie, Belle. As I search for a job, I am working as an online ESL teacher for children in China. When I am not studying, working, or job-hunting, I like to listen to music, play my flute, do crafts, and spend time outside.
